Patient Service Rep (PSR) - Primary Care Clinic

Job Description Summary Provide efficient, effective, quality customer service and practice support through a variety of general office duties including scheduling, coding, registration and billing. Maximize revenues by collecting payment at time of service and entering accurate and up-to-date billing information (address, insurance coverage, etc.) into the patient accounting system. Assist clinical staff in maintaining accurate medical records. Where You Will Work Advocate Medical Group (AMG) Primary Care – Burbank, IL. Location: 6345 West 79th St., Burbank, IL. Our family medicine physicians and nurse practitioners provide comprehensive preventive and acute care. The clinic is part of Advocate Health, a large nonprofit health system. We’re Looking For High school diploma or equivalent. 1–2 years of related customer service experience. Experience handling difficult callers/customers/patients. What You’ll Do Schedule: 1 late night per week and rotating Saturdays. Clinic Hours: Monday & Thursday: 7 a‑7 p; Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday: 7 a‑5 p; Saturday: 7:30‑12 p. Key Responsibilities: Patient Services: Provide high‑quality service to patients arriving for appointments, calling, or visiting for information, billing, referrals, and related matters. Billing Services: Enter billing information at time of service and follow up on missing data. Medical Record Services: Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with practice and group standards. Physical Requirements And Working Conditions Ability to function in a high‑volume, multiple‑task environment and in a crowded workspace. Exposure to ill patients. Ability to work under stressful conditions with demanding customers. Lift up to 35 pounds without help; use equipment or assistance for heavier lifts as required.
