Travel Physical Therapist - $1,966 per week

Job Overview Fusion Medical Staffing‑Therapy is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Scarborough, Maine. Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy to improve mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized equipment and modalities safely and maintain them. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes. Work closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, injury prevention and self‑management. Maintain a safe environment through infection control, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards. Engage in quality assurance and professional development activities. Collaborate in discharge planning and perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license compliant with state regulations. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA/ARC). Doctorate degree in physical therapy (preferred). Experience in physical therapy; new graduates welcome. Additional certifications or licenses may be required for this position. Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication. Proficient reading, writing, and spoken English. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and basic PC skills. Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, bend. Interpersonal skill to work with diverse personnel and maintain professionalism. Technical/motor skill for fine manipulation during procedures and equipment use.
