Fabrication Operations Manager- Sinton, TX (Corpus Christi Area):

Build and lead the fabrication operation at Friedman Industries’ growing Sinton, TX facility — 30 minutes from Corpus Christi. Fabrication Operations Manager- Sinton, TX (Corpus Christi Area) · [Relocation assistance available]

This is a hands-on leadership role with real scope: you’ll own safety, quality, delivery, and team development across laser processing, press brake, and fabrication, and you’ll shape the processes and the people as the operation grows.

• Lead daily steel fabrication and manufacturing operations — safety first, always.
• Own production scheduling, staffing, workflow, capacity, and ontime delivery.
• Direct laser processing, press brake, bending, fabrication, integration, and testing activities.
• Build and develop supervisors, team leads, technicians, and production employees through coaching and accountability.
• Drive measurable gains in quality, throughput, labor efficiency, equipment uptime, scrap, and rework.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing and continuousimprovement initiatives.
• Manage KPIs, budgets, workforce planning, and facility growth in partnership with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, Sales, and senior leadership.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
• 10+ years of fabrication, steel processing, or industrial manufacturing experience.
• 5+ years leading manufacturing teams in a supervisory or management role.
• Working knowledge of CAD/CAM software and laser cutting, press brake, bending, and fabrication equipment.
• Experience with production scheduling, capacity planning, and quality and productivity improvement.
• Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and problemsolving skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
NICE TO HAVE
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Fabrication startup or multisite operations experience.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Manufacturing environment; frequent walking and extended standing; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds; required PPE; exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, and moving equipment.
