Essential Job Functions And Responsibilities Assist in designing components and subassemblies using 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred). Support validation and testing activities, including basic mechanical and thermal analysis. Document technical work including test results, design notes, and engineering changes. Participate in cross‑functional team meetings to understand project requirements. Collaborate with production and quality teams to address basic engineering issues. Adhere to standard operating procedures and ISO guidelines. Contribute to product cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives. Experience And Qualifications B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 0–2 years of mechanical design experience, internships or co‑ops preferred. Required Skills Basic proficiency in 3D CAD modeling of mechanical components (preferably SolidWorks). Understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes. Familiarity with engineering documentation and drafting standards. Strong technical writing and communication skills. Ability to perform basic engineering calculations in solid mechanics and thermal systems. Preferred Skills Exposure to GD‑T principles and tolerance stack‑up basics. Familiarity with basic FEA tools or thermal simulation software. Experience from internships, co‑ops, or academic projects involving electro‑mechanical systems. Knowledge of design controls and ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
