Job Description
TITLE: Registered Nurse - Obstetrics

SCHEDULE: Facility can cancel 1 shift every other week.

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS:
- 15-17 births per month

REQUIREMENTS:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Fetal Heart Monitoring certification required

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide care for laboring patients, including triage and mother-baby care.
- Assist with responsibilities within the nursing scope for gynecology surgery patients.
- Float to Med/Surg as needed; assist with vitals, medication passing, and other tasks if uncomfortable taking Med/Surg patients.
- Collaborate with LPN, overseeing patient care and delegating tasks as appropriate.

COMPLIANCE / NOTES:
- Duties involve L&D, Mother Baby, Newborn Nursery, and Couplet Care responsibilities.
