Driver / WarehouseThe driver / warehouse position is responsible for maintaining a professional appearance and knowledge of materials delivered to the customer. The driver / warehouse employee will safely drive and handle all materials in accordance to the company standards of service. This position is also responsible for various duties related to the handling of materials in the warehouse. This position receives, stores and distributes material, tools equipment and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.Reports to: Profit Center SupervisorMinimum Qualifications:High School diploma or GEDValid drivers license with an acceptable driving recordWilling to take an employer paid drug screen and background checkAuthorization to work in the U.S. without requiring work sponsorship now or in the futureCompetencies:Communication ProficiencyThoroughnessOrganizational SkillsTime ManagementTechnical CapacityPreferred Qualifications:1 to 2 years of experience in material handling preferred1 to 2 years of customer service experience preferred2+ years of delivery driving experience preferredWorking Conditions:This position operates in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones, as well as standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.Supervisory Responsibilities:NoEssential Job Functions:Deliver company materials to customers in a professional mannerEffectively and professionally meet and communicate with the publicDrive, automatic/manual transmission vehicle (safely & legally, driving violations may jeopardize your position as a driver)Shipping and receiving duties; including loading and unloading trucksRead customer orders, work orders, shipping orders to determine items to picked, packed, distributed or shipped/transferredMove materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequenceAssemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping departmentUse computer and RF guns to manage sales orders, inventory and enter information into business management systemParticipate in cycle counting of physical inventoryOpen boxes and other containersOperate wire cutter to cut wire according to customer ordersOperate forklift in warehouse settingSweep, dust and mop.
