Opportunity:

RN - CVOR

Job Details:

• 8-hour various day shifts, Monday through Friday
• 40 hours guaranteed per week
• 13-week contract
• On-call requirements include 1 night of call per week, 1 weekend per month, and 1 backup per week with occasional additional call as needed
• 30-minute response time required when on call - must be ready in the OR
• A personal vehicle is required due to the 30-minute on-call response time
• Every 3rd-4th weekend and holiday rotation required
• Assigned 4-5 operating rooms per day across 21 ORs covering all specialties
• Strong OR/CVOR circulating experience required
• Assist with intubations, fiber optic scopes during intubation, and sterile techniques with central lines
• Assist anesthesiologist with placement of arterial lines, central lines, lumbar drains, and Swan Ganz catheters
• Start IVs, draw labs, set up medication pumps, and run Belmont, Cell Saver, and Level I equipment
• Assist anesthesia team with heart surgeries, traumas, elective surgeries, and general surgeries
• Prior experience with conscious sedation is a plus
• Must be flexible and willing to complete downtime tasks as needed
• Critical thinking skills, strong knowledge of all OR cases, and ability to manage change required
• 2-week orientation process with training for additional anesthesia skills as needed
• Scrub colors provided
• Required certifications: AHA or ARC BLS, ACLS, WI RN License or compact RN license
• Associate degree or bachelor's degree in nursing required
• Minimum 3+ years of OR experience with anesthesia experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Required charting and equipment experience: Epic, Cell Saver, and Belmont
