Details Adult/pediatric combined Emergency Department setting Patient ratios of 1:5 across adult and geriatric populations with all emergency type diagnoses 13-week assignment with day (7a-7p) or night (7p-7a) shift options, 4x12 hour schedules Every other weekend requirement Every other holiday requirement, if needed Floating required within skillset Uses specialized equipment including Bair hugger, rapid infuser, and safe patient handling equipment EPIC charting experience required Requirements Active New York Single State RN license required in hand (pending licenses not accepted) BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; PALS and TNCC preferred Minimum 2 years of experience required EPIC charting experience required Clinical skills required in IV therapy, blood product administration, central line care, and phlebotomy Experience with CPAP/BiPAP and ventilator management required Experience with CVA, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and TBI required Cardiac monitoring skills including dysrhythmia interpretation and management required Emergency care experience including trauma, gunshot wounds, and ortho trauma required Triage and isolation precaution skills required Arterial line management and hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun experience preferred Additional Information Work in a state-of-the-art, 24/7 Emergency Department with a centralized layout for rapid patient care Facility includes a dedicated pediatric ED, crisis intervention unit, and trauma suite near the ambulance entrance Magnet-recognized, Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center and academic teaching hospital 528-bed acute care facility affiliated with Cleveland Clinic and Roswell Park Scrub colors limited to navy blue and white combinations Facility may cancel up to three shifts during the 13-week contract without charge First-time travelers are welcome to apply Previous staff must wait 6 months system-wide before returning RN candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be accepted; local LPNs are accepted Time off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of consideration American Traveler Job ID P-764786.
