Digital Content Creator - perdiem position

OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY Fox TV Stations (FOX Television Stations) owns and operates 29 full‑power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. RESPONSIBILITIES Write and produce compelling, consumer‑focused content related to news, events, and topics relevant to users across the NYC area and beyond, including articles, videos, live streaming, photos/graphics, breaking news, and social media elements in conjunction with the Northeast Regional Digital Content Team. Work closely with the newsroom to support their mission to engage communities and build brand loyalty. Optimize content for search engine optimization (SEO) while prioritizing the consumer experience. Reach and engage the station’s social users on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and other platforms. Ensure speed and accuracy of content, especially during breaking news. Collaborate with the Northeast Region, the Group Content Team, and other FTS markets to distribute high‑interest stories at scale. Follow group standards and monitor real‑time analytics. Perform other duties as deemed necessary and assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Experience developing, optimizing, and publishing content, including news, on digital and social platforms. BA/BS degree is a plus, preferably in journalism, communications, or a related field with an emphasis on digital publishing. Excellent writer and storyteller with superior news judgment. Impeccable writing and copy‑editing skills with overwhelming attention to detail. Ability to thrive under deadline pressure. Stellar communication skills, both written and verbal. Proven ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Social media expert. Proficiency in content management systems, SEO, video publishing, live streaming, and digital analytics tools. Video and photo editing experience (Adobe products a plus). Perform other duties as assigned. Pay range: $460.00 per day for New York City and Westchester County, NY.
