Licensed Occupational Therapist

Job Description Job Description Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our school based team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic interventions to help children achieve their maximum potential within the school setting. The Occupational Therapist will work closely with children who have disabilities, ensuring they receive the support needed for rehabilitation and recovery. Duties * Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' physical, emotional, and social needs to develop individualized treatment plans. * Implement therapeutic interventions focused on improving students ability within the school setting * Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, speech therapists, teachers and various other school based personnel. * Provide case management services, including discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions from Occupational Therapy services. * Maintain accurate documentation of students progress and treatment outcomes in accordance with medical standards. * Educate students and their families about treatment plans, goals, and strategies for ongoing care. * Stay updated on the latest practices in occupational therapy and relevant medical terminology. * Work effectively with children with disabilities to enhance their quality of life through tailored therapy programs. Qualifications * Bachelor's and Master's degrees from accredited occupational therapy programs. * Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. * Current state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist. * Strong knowledge of physiology and medical terminology. * Experience in school based therapy preferred but not necessary, training will be provided. * Excellent communication skills for effective interaction and collaboration with case management teams. * Ability to demonstrate compassion and patience while working with diverse student populations.
