Seasonal Associates WantedTurner's Outdoorsman is seeking Seasonal Associates to join the team. The Turner's Outdoorsman Sales Associate assists the Store Management in the performance of his/her duties. Follows the premise of being a committed team player, responsible for achieving sales goals, customer satisfaction, and profitability growth as well as understanding, practicing, and being a strong proponent of the Turner's brand and company culture. The Sales Associate is a retail professional role model in attitude and appearance skilled in the art of communication and customer service.Essential FunctionsGreets all customersExecutes all required firearms paperwork within legal parametersCreate customer ordersProvides excellent customer service and displays exceptional salesmanshipDemonstrates constant awareness of firearm safetyResponsible for assisting in store merchandising changesResponsible for loading and unloading trucksReceives stock and merchandiseActively involved in promotions, sales and eventsMay fill customer fishing reels using special machines and knot-tying techniquesMay participate in inventory tasksAble to attend training seminars, including some off-sitePerform other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school graduate (or GED) required, college graduate or some college preferredFluent in EnglishPrior retail or sales experience and cash handling preferredPrevious customer service experience preferredKnowledge about Hunting, Fishing, or Shooting sports is preferredLegally eligible to work in a firearms environmentMust be 21 years or olderAbility to obtain a Certificate of EligibilityGood communication and interpersonal skillsMust be able to multi-task and work in a face paced environmentPhysical RequirementsResponsible for loading/unloading trucks, lifting up to 50 pounds without assistanceMust be able to use both hands when handling a firearmMust be able to use a computer proficiently and grasp instruction to new software programsMust be able to stand, sit, bend and lift throughout the course of a scheduled shiftTravel RequirementsOccasional travel may be required (approximately 5% of the time-participating in events, training seminars etc)HoursHours-varied-OT may be requiredRequests for time off may or may not be granted during black-out periodsTurner's Outdoorsman is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
