Pathology Lab Coordinator I (On-site, Chicago)

$23.25 per hour

Pathology Lab Coordinator role supporting clinical specimen workflows and pathologist teams at a precision medicine company. Coordinates between lab and business functions while managing data abstraction, sample tracking, and operational processes.

Responsibilities

Coordinate between pathologists, histotechnologists, and business teams for efficient specimen workflows
Abstract clinical data from patient documents with accuracy and efficiency
Support pathology review and immunohistochemistry review workflows
Troubleshoot, audit sample progress, and reconcile lab specimens
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in biological science with anatomy and/or molecular biology coursework
Prior pathology or histotechnology lab experience; anatomy experience preferred
Medical terminology knowledge preferred
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
High attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy-focused work approach
Mac OS and general office software proficiency
Ability to work assigned shifts including weekends and evenings

Compensation: $23.25/hour (Chicago)
