Field Service Technician

Summary:

Location: Stone Mountain, GA
Duration: 6 Months
7am-5:30pm, Monday-Thursday
OT on Fridays or rain make-up days
Contractor must be flexible to work from multiple locations in Stone Mountain or other areas in Georgia

Responsibilities:

Execute field service activities at customer sites safely and efficiently
Create and maintain a safe working environment and culture
Take care of company property
Troubleshoot systems for mechanical and electrical equipment conditions
Identify and remedy safety issues on both company and customer-owned equipment
Directly interface with customers, potentially at multiple sites with various technologies
Inspect valves and service hydrants

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to obtain a TWIC card
Technical experience
Experience with Microsoft Office and smart devices
Customer service experience
Demonstrate critical thinking and troubleshooting ability
Able to pass a credit check
Able to obtain a CDL, class A or B with applicable endorsements
Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis
Must be able to walk, write, and type frequently
Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
Must be able to climb and descend stairs
Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull occasionally
Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing
May work indoors and outdoors as needed, with exposure to extreme temperatures
May work in areas where noise level requires hearing protection
May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt
Work surfaces may include concrete
Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone
Some travel to other locations, meetings, and/or seminars is required
Minimum 1 year of experience

Preferred Skills:

Ability to maintain a company vehicle
