About the Role:

Washler Garbage & Recycling is looking for a friendly and dependable Customer Service Representative to join our team in Garrett, IN! Responsibilities:

• Answer inbound customer calls, emails, and inquiries regarding garbage and recycling services
• Process new service requests, account changes, and service cancellations
• Resolve customer complaints and service issues in a timely and professional manner
• Schedule and coordinate pickups, route changes, and special collection requests
• Maintain accurate customer account records and data entry in company systems
• Communicate service updates, billing information, and recycling guidelines to customers
• Collaborate with drivers and operations staff to ensure seamless service delivery

Requirements:

• Prior customer service, call center, or administrative experience preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in basic computer applications and data entry
• Ability to handle high call volumes and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Patient, empathetic, and solutions-oriented demeanor
• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience in waste management, utilities, or a service-based industry is a plus
