What You'll Be Doing
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you'll be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing downtime throughout our manufacturing operation.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CNC machines, lathes, mills, EDMs, Swiss machines, water jets, presses, robotic systems, and other production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-related issues.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Conduct equipment inspections to identify problems before they impact production.
- Complete repairs, adjustments, alignments, and machine installations.
- Support approximately 10 new equipment installations each year.
- Operate forklifts and lifting equipment to move and position machinery safely.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, parts usage, and equipment performance.
- Partner with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures and all plant safety requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Experience maintaining CNC machines and manufacturing equipment.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and PLC issues.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical degree, trade school, or formal maintenance training.
- Prior CNC maintenance experience beyond minimum requirements.
- Experience with CNC lathes, mills, EDMs, Swiss machines, robotic systems, and automated production equipment.
- PLC troubleshooting experience.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems expertise.
- Forklift experience.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Work Schedule
Training Period
Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (First 8-12 weeks)
Regular Schedule
Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (2nd Shift)

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN.
Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $44.23/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
