Senior Estimator

BUILD MORE THAN ESTIMATES. HELP SHAPE THE PROJECT. Roebbelen Contracting is looking for an experienced Senior Estimator who can see the full story behind the numbers. In this role, you’ll lead estimates from early concept through final bid or GMP, identify risk before it becomes a problem, and collaborate with clients, design teams, trade partners, and operations to develop smart, buildable solutions. Lead estimates from conceptual planning through final bid or GMP Develop conceptual, detailed, negotiated, and hard-bid estimates Review drawings, specifications, contracts, schedules, and RFPs Establish estimate strategies, schedules, assumptions, and deliverables Solicit, evaluate, level, and clarify subcontractor proposals Prepare general conditions, logistics, escalation, contingencies, and risk analyses Identify constructability concerns and value-engineering opportunities Lead estimate reviews and cost reconciliation with project stakeholders Present budgets, cost trends, risks, and recommendations Support pursuits, proposals, interviews, and business development efforts Coordinate the handoff from Preconstruction to Operations Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members bachelor’s degree in construction management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of commercial construction estimating experience 10+ years of equivalent estimating experience without a degree Experience independently leading estimates for complex projects valued at $25 million or more Experience within education, healthcare, public works, or institutional construction Knowledge of negotiated, design-build, design-bid-build, and construction management delivery methods Strong conceptual estimating, quantity takeoff, scope analysis, value-engineering, and risk-identification skills Advanced proficiency with Excel, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, and estimating software Strong communication, organization, and presentation skills California public works, K-12, higher education, or healthcare experience Self-perform estimating or prefabrication experience Proficiency with Procore, Sage Estimating/Timberline, BuildingConnected, or similar platforms Experience participating in client interviews and pursuit presentations READY TO HELP BUILD WHAT MATTERS?
