#139826 (CNA) Sr. Nursing Aide - Per Diem - EC Telemetry Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, the CNA supports the continuum of care by providing basic patient care and assistance with activities of daily living. Performs uncomplicated technical procedures. Participates in performance improvement activities, such as chart audits. Utilizes a variety of technical equipment and supplies. Provides basic patient care support: patient transport, specimen and blood product transport, and inventory management. Cross trains to the role of Hospital Unit Secretary. This position requires initiative, the ability to prioritize demands, and the ability to work in a team environment. Participates in collaborative team environment, including training and evaluation of peers; scheduling of work; and assisting the administrative functions of the unit. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Active California CNA license. BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to obtain BART within six months of hire date. One or more years of CNA experience in an acute care setting. Demonstrated ability to observe deviations from normal. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Previous acute care experience. Experience with Epic, UCSD Paging & Scheduling Systems. Knowledge of medical terminology or certificate of medical terminology training. Bilingual: Spanish/English. SPECIAL CONDITIONS Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs. Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Compliance with Vaccination Programs policy. Hands‑on life‑support certifications such as BLS, NRP, ACLS are required; online‑only certification is not acceptable.
