Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Yakima, Washington. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 15 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nurse is needed for a 15-week contract at a community hospital located in the region. This position offers an opportunity to provide specialized patient care to critical care populations, including those with respiratory, cardiac, and surgical conditions. The role involves performing comprehensive assessments and interventions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Job Details Schedule: Evening and day shifts available, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Shift times are from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM and 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications; minimum of 2 years of ICU experience; experience with above below patient types, chest tubes, wound vacs, dressing changes, monitoring femoral arterial sheaths; preferred - Art line, Impella and/or IABP experience. Additional Information: The assignment is for holiday coverage with a focus on critical care procedures such as managing patients with CHF, respiratory distress, ACS, A-fib RVR, DM, blood product administration, bipap, CVA overflow, post-cath patients, and those requiring vascular access or drips including diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, nitro, heparin. Floating to TELE, Telemetry, Med-Surg, Neurology-Medical units is required; weekend rotation occurs every other weekend.
