Inpatient Pharmacist

Inpatient pharmacist position available for 13 weeks. Shifts are either 4 x 10-hour (19:30 - 05:30) or 4 x 8-hour (18:00 - 03:00) nights. Experience of minimum 1 year required. State pharmacy license required. BLS preferred. Must-have skills include dosing, intravenous preparation, and medication dispensing systems knowledge. No pharmacy technician coverage overnight; the pharmacist is the only staff member in inpatient pharmacy during shift hours. Weekends required. Preferred experience includes community hospital and trauma level II experience. Expect to work some holidays. Patient age groups include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census is around 60 with 114 beds total. The unit has interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Floating may be required to another department as needed, but staff will not be required to care for patients outside of their competencies.
