Event Bartender
the girl & the fig CATERS! in Sonoma is currently seeking Junior Event Bartenders to join our team. We are a restaurant group with multiple locations in the Sonoma Valley, which includes the girl & the fig in Sonoma, Poppy in Glen Ellen, the girl & the fig CATERS!, Suite D, and our FIGfood product line. We strive to use the best in local, sustainable food, and we continually develop many in-house programs to promote those ideals. Please visit us online at for more information. Our Junior Event Bartenders provide guests with gracious, efficient, knowledgeable, and accurate service of food and beverage at special catered events. Service is limited to beer and wine.

- Has a professional and friendly demeanor
- Has excellent time management and customer service skills
- Has relevant catering or restaurant experience
A Typical Day Includes...
- Provide a welcoming bar experience to event guests
- Prepare bar for service and inspect all aspects of bar environment for cleanliness and order
- Uphold proper beverage pours
- Uphold all applicable laws regarding the service of alcohol
This Job Requires...
- Weekend availability
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to provide or complete CA Food Handler and Responsible Beverage Service certifications
- General catering knowledge and a minimum of one year of bartending experience
Physical Demands...
- Ability to regularly lift up to 40lbs
- Ability to repeatedly ascend and descend a flight of stairs carrying 40lbs
- Ability to lift, bend, and stoop
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
Job Details:
- Part-time/on-call with a flexible schedule
- Perfect for those with a full-time schedule during the week
- This is a Jr. Event Bartender position. Our Jr. Event Bartenders only pour beer and wine at events.
- Hourly wage for this position is $19-$27
- Starting wage is dependent on experience and qualifications
