Overview
Registered Nurse, Med Surg — Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Start date: 07/06/2026. This is an eight-week travel assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Weekly pay ranges from $1,595 to $1,674. Shift: 2x3 Nights. Employment Type: Travel - Temporary Assignment. Setting: Hospital. This opening supports a 30-bed Med/Surg unit on a dedicated education unit; travel nurses will care for Med/Surg patients, not participate in formal teaching.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to Med/Surg patients, maintaining safety and comfort
- Perform ongoing patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and administer medications per physician orders
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, plan discharges, and educate patients and families
- Respond to patient needs, monitor for changes in condition, and initiate appropriate interventions per protocol
- Document care accurately in the medical record and participate in shift handoffs to ensure continuity
- Adhere to infection control, patient safety policies, and unit-specific procedures

Requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia or eligibility to practice in Georgia
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- 2 years of Med/Surg experience in a level 1 trauma or mid-large hospital setting
- No recent time off (no RTO) within the past 2 years
- Ability to work on a 30-bed Med/Surg unit with a 5-6:1 patient ratio
- Willingness to work night shift in a fast-paced hospital environment
