Deputy Project Manager - Los Angeles, California

Overview The Deputy Project Manager is responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and coordination of assigned workstreams or tasks within a project. This role requires a proactive approach to tracking schedules, monitoring risks, and ensuring documentation accuracy while maintaining compliance with company policies and industry standards. The Deputy Project Manager contributes to effective vendor coordination, stakeholder communication, and continuous improvement of project processes. Employees in this role must adhere to all company safety procedures and operational protocols to ensure standards are met. This position is based in Los Angeles, CA. Responsibilities Support project oversight and day-to-day coordination of assigned workstreams. Track schedules, deliverables, documentation, and task progress to ensure deadlines are met. Assist with budget tracking, forecasting, and preparation of project invoices. Maintain risk logs and escalate issues as appropriate. Support quality assurance by checking deliverables for completeness and compliance with project standards. Provide updates to project managers, senior leaders, and clients as directed. Coordinate with internal SMEs and external vendors for task execution. Participate in meetings, prepare reports, and document progress. Prepare meeting minutes, action item logs, and presentation materials for stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support overall project delivery. Follow all company safety protocols, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines. Ensure project records, logs, and documentation are maintained in compliance with internal audit requirements. Support adherence to quality and safety protocols during project execution. Complete mandatory safety training and refreshers as required. Assist in implementing new project management processes and tools. Learn and apply project planning fundamentals (budgeting, scheduling, risk management). Support vendor onboarding, task coordination, and contract administration activities as required. Help maintain change request logs and issue registers; escalate items as needed.
