Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunity At Ava's HouseSanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is dedicated to transforming the health care experience and providing access to world-class health care in America's heartland. Ava's House is a 20-bed inpatient acute hospice facility located in Sioux Falls, SD. We care for adult and pediatric patients and have cared for patients ranging from the age of one day old to over 100 years old. Our interdisciplinary team is made up of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, patient care techs, social workers, pharmacists, volunteer representatives, and chaplains. Our facility focuses on symptom management and maintaining comfort and dignity at end of life. We provide 24-hour care and could be considered a "Hospice ICU".Schedule: 12-hour rotating straight weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) shifts and every other holiday.The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients. Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred. Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
