Job Summary:
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in inpatient care is needed for treatment at a healthcare facility located in Bardstown, Kentucky. This position involves providing speech therapy services within a post-acute setting, covering a broad geographic territory across multiple counties. Candidates are required to bring their Kentucky license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Bardstown, Kentucky
• Shift: Days, 8 hours per day, 5 days a week, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Kentucky licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP credential via ASHA), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA), a minimum of 1 year of clinical experience, and home health experience
• Preferred/Additional Qualifications: Experience with inpatient and home health settings, familiarity with the Homecare Homebase (HCHB) electronic medical record system
• Additional Information:
  • Department-specific orientation: 2 weeks with a work coach
  • Cancellation policy: Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts within a 13-week assignment, or 3 shifts for shorter durations
  • Equipment provided: Phone and tablet
• Submission Requirements: Candidate must have KY license in hand prior to submission; license cannot be pending
• Clinical responsibilities include managing patients with diagnoses such as CVA/Aphasia within various post-acute environments, including acute inpatient, outpatient, and skilled facilities
