HVAC/Mechanical Estimator

*Job Overview* We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HVAC/Mechanical Estimator. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of HVAC and mechanical systems for a variety of commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. Your expertise will help ensure competitive pricing, effective project planning, and successful project execution. *Responsibilities* * Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for HVAC and mechanical systems using construction estimating software. * Review project plans, specifications, blueprints, and contract documents to determine scope of work and identify potential challenges or cost-saving opportunities. * Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to develop comprehensive pricing strategies that align with project goals. * Conduct site visits to gather on-site data, assess existing conditions, and validate assumptions used in estimates. * Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. * Monitor project budgets throughout the bidding process and support cost control efforts during project execution. * Assist in contract review and support project management teams in contract negotiations and change order management. * Maintain detailed records of estimates, assumptions, and correspondence for transparency and future reference. *Qualifications* * Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on HVAC or mechanical systems. * Proficiency in construction estimating software. * Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing without compromising quality or safety standards. * Solid understanding of cost control techniques and pricing strategies within the construction industry. * Hands-on construction site experience that provides insight into field conditions affecting estimates. * Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents accurately. * Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and present complex information clearly.
