Operations ManagerSalary Range: $100,000-$120,000Start Date: ImmediatelyJob Type: Full TimePosition Overview: The Operations Manager oversees all daily field operations and overall construction performance of the Branch, including commercial roofing and architectural sheet metal. The Operations Manager is responsible for strategic development, quality control, safety oversight and implementation of organization goals and practices. Additionally, the Operations Manager is responsible for developing a strong team through recruitment and building continuity through coaching, training and performance management.At JR & Co. we're not just building roofs—we're building careers. Join our team today and help us build something great!Essential Functions:Oversees all daily field operations and overall branch construction performance (roofing & sheet metal)Manages crew scheduling, project execution, and allocation of labor, materials, and equipmentDrives safety, quality, profitability, and on-time project deliveryMonitors project financials, identifies risks, and implements solutionsDevelops and enforces policies, procedures, and operational standardsLeads, coaches, and develops field staff; handles hiring, reviews, and performance managementEnsures consistent jobsite inspections, safety compliance, and accountability across teamsBuilds strong client, supplier, and subcontractor relationships to support repeat business and growthRequired Skills and Abilities:Valid driver's license with DOT Med Card requiredBasic accounting knowledge and ability to interpret blueprints, schedules, and contractsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsEffective negotiation skills and customer-focused mindsetExcellent communication (written and verbal) and time management across multiple projectsPeople-oriented, adaptable, and dependable in a fast-paced environmentDetail-oriented with high stress tolerance and ability to meet deadlinesDemonstrates professional conduct, represents the company positively, and lives out core values (Family Culture, Humility, Ownership, Growth mindset)Education and Experience:10 years of experience with commercial roofing/architectural sheet metal/construction (required)5 years of experience with operations and personnel managementHigh School Diploma and GEDB.S. degree in Business, Construction Management, or related educational field (preferred)OSHA 30 safety certificationWork Environment/Physical Requirements:Must pass drug screening and participate in random testing programWork environment includes both office and active construction sites in all weather conditionsComfortable working at heights (rooftops) and in physically demanding conditionsAbility to lift 50+ lbs and perform frequent physical activity (bending, climbing, walking, kneeling)Compensation & Benefits Package:Weekly payCompany phone stipendCompany truck and fuel card or stipendHealth, dental, vision, life insurancePaid time off401(k) with company matchPaid Parental LeaveLocation/schedule:In Person: Colorado Springs, CO 80939Occasional Travel RequiredDay Schedule: Mon-Fri (Occasional and weekend work)If you're looking for a stable, family-oriented company where you can grow your career and make a real impact, apply below!
