Travel RN – CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room)

Contract | Travel | Days | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Proficiently scrub cardiac cases requiring cardiopulmonary bypass and related procedures in the mediastinum
• Perform scrub duties for thoracic surgery cases including daVinci-assisted procedures, open thoracotomy, and VATS
• Support procedures initiating ECMO and pericardial window cases
• Assist with a variety of cardiac cases including CABG, valve replacement and repair, aortic dissection repair, and TAVR
• Participate in on-call rotation beginning at 3:00 PM when assigned, including weekend call coverage (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday when assigned)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with CVOR specialty experience
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience
• Current BLS certification required
• Proficiency scrubbing cardiac and thoracic surgery cases in a fast-paced OR environment
• Ability to take call as assigned

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with daVinci-assisted thoracic procedures including lobectomy and wedge resections
• Familiarity with ECMO initiation procedures
• Experience with TAVR and aortic dissection repair cases
• Prior travel nursing experience in a CVOR setting
