Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse with prior travel experience to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a valid California RN License and be proficient in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), basic life support (BLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), which must be obtained prior to starting the role.

Qualifications

Valid California RN License
Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS (must obtain prior to start)
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; 3 years preferred
Previous travel experience required
Charge nurse experience preferred
Experience with Epic charting system is required

Essential Skills

Accessing/Managing Ports
Arterial line management
Chest tube insertion/removal assistance
BiPAP/CPAP management
Blood product administration
Care of ventilated patients
Central line care and management
Management of chronic and acute renal failure
Administration of continuous IV paralytics and sedation
CVA/Acute Stroke management
Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs) and dysrhythmias
Phlebotomy and PICC line management
Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
Ventilator management

Unit and Facility Information

Patient Age Groups: Adults and Geriatrics
Interdisciplinary Support: Includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, and Radiology
Special Equipment: Arctic Sun, BIS monitor, NICOM

Scheduling and Compliance

Pre-approved time off is available. Maximum time off is 7 days per contract. Candidates must complete required onboarding and verification within specified timeframes.
