Overview
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) in Templeton, California. Start date: August 24, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,264–$2,447 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). Setting: Short-Term Acute Care Hospital.

Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to obstetric patients and their newborns, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, manage labor progression, administer medications, and respond to emergencies per policy and protocol.
- Coordinate care with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesia, and multidisciplinary teams; delegate tasks to appropriate staff while ensuring patient safety.
- Educate patients and families, prepare for and facilitate delivery, and participate in discharge planning and follow-up care when appropriate.
- Maintain current standards of nursing practice, document accurately, and contribute to unit governance and quality improvement activities as applicable.

Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an approved nursing school; RN licensed to practice in the state of California.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current RN license in state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required within 6 months of hire or transfer. AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring required on hire and every two years; for new-to-L&D RNs, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring course within first 6–8 months, then Advanced every two years.
- Experience: At least two years of recent RN experience in a relevant field; L&D experience preferred; familiarity with the LDRP model is a plus.
- Other: Ability to work in a high-acuity Labor & Delivery setting with rotating night shifts; meet facility-based and regulatory requirements.
