Key Responsibilities of the Junior Property Accountant

• Process monthly landlord payments and ensure lease obligations are paid accurately and on time
• Review and reconcile charges, research discrepancies, and coordinate resolutions.
• Communicate with landlords and internal departments regarding payments, lease terms, account balances, and related inquiries.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end adjustments to support accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain lease documentation and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.
• Assist with special projects related to lease and property accounting activities.

Qualifications for the Junior Property Accountant

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; equivalent accounting experience considered
• 2–3+ years of accounting experience, including reconciliations, invoice processing, journal entries, or general ledger support
• Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and data analysis
• Oracle or similar ERP experience preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
