Our client in the Commercial Property Management space is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for resort and entertainment/restaurant properties accounting functions. In this position you will report to a Director of Accounting, own the month-end close, financial reporting and analysis, and maintain strong internal controls.

Requirements:

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required
• CPA strongly preferred; CHAE-Certified Hospitality Accountant Executive certification is a plus

Experience

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting and ownership of month-end close
• 2+ years supervising or reviewing the work of other accountants
• Hospitality (hotel, resort, RV, or mixed-use property) strongly preferred; property management or real estate a plus
• Multi-entity or multi-property accounting experience preferred
• Familiarity with industry software such as Clover POS, Newbook Property Management
• Advanced Excel
• NetSuite preferred

Your key responsibilities in this role will include:

Leadership of Staff Accountants- supervise, mentor and develop off site staff accountants, review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting workpapers, own and manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close calendar, review the financial package for accuracy and completeness before it is distributed to leadership and ownership.

Financial Reporting & Analysis, Budgeting, Forecasting & Controls, Audit, Compliance, and Accounting Oversight, Oversight of the Resort, F&B value streams
