This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

The shift is from 9 AM to 9 PM, requiring one night a week and two weekends during the contract period. The position includes varied shift times of either 8 AM to 8 PM, 9 AM to 9 PM, or 10 AM to 10 PM.

Job Description

The PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) is a dynamic environment offering care for a diverse patient population. Nurses in this unit will support patients immediately following surgery across various specialties, including General, Neuro, Oncology, Orthopedics, and Vascular procedures.

Responsibilities

Nurses in the PACU will be responsible for:

• Monitoring patients post-operatively to ensure stable vital signs and recovery.
• Administering medications per physician orders.
• Providing patient education and support to families.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Candidates must possess experience in ICU or PACU settings. Although certified ACLS is not mandatory, it is highly regarded. Applicants should be well-versed in EMR systems, specifically Meditech.
