Job Description
Position Overview:
\nWe are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in Williston, Florida on a PRN (as-needed) basis. This position offers a flexible, rewarding opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. The COTA will work under the supervision of licensed Occupational Therapists to support patient treatment and help individuals improve independence in daily living.
\nResponsibilities:

Assist OTs in implementing individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
\n - \n
Provide therapeutic exercises and ADL training to restore function and improve independence.
\n - \n
Support patients with mobility, coordination, and fine motor skill development utilizing adaptive equipment as needed.
\n - \n
Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, home programs, and adaptive strategies.
\n - \n
Monitor and document patient progress, communicate updates to the supervising OT, and maintain accurate records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
\n - \n
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including OTs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
\n - \n
Maintain compliance with ethical, legal, and facility policies related to patient care and documentation.

Qualifications:
\n- \n

Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from a CAPTE-accredited program.
\n - \n
Current NBCOT certification and active Florida OTA license.
\n - \n
CPR certification (preferred).
\n - \n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
\n - \n
Previous clinical experience preferred but not required.
\n
Work Environment:

PRN (as-needed) position with flexible scheduling based on facility needs and candidate availability.
\n - \n
Potential work settings include hospitals, outpatient clinics, rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, or home health.
