Travel RN - Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)

Schedule
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour; 18:45 - 07:15
- Weekends: Every other weekend; minimum of 6 weekend shifts per contract

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years recent critical care nursing experience
- Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Charting system: Experience with EPIC required

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide critical care nursing to adult and geriatric patients in the MICU
- Monitor and manage ventilator settings and other critical equipment
- Administer medications, including titration of vasoactive and cardiac drips
- Perform and assist in procedures, including central line insertion and chest tube management
- Assess and manage patients with conditions such as sepsis, DKA, COPD, and heart failure
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care

Compliance / Notes
- Candidate must complete lab/testing within 48 hours after signing
- Pre-start modules required (acute care ~8-10 hours); complete pre-start and annually
- Local candidate rate adjustments and former-employee restrictions apply
