The Plumbing and Air, a Southern Home Services Company, is growing—and we’re inviting a proven leader in residential installs to help shape what comes next.

Imagine starting your day reviewing a well-planned install schedule, loading a neatly organized truck, and coaching an Install Helper through a complex retrofit. By mid-morning, you’re cutting and threading copper, running PVC, and making flawless high- and low-voltage connections. In the afternoon, you’re verifying airflow, ensuring code compliance, and walking a homeowner through their new system with confidence and care. That’s a day in the life of our Residential HVAC Installation Crew Leader.

What You’ll Do

• Lead residential HVAC installations, upgrades, and replacements with precision and quality.
• Cut, thread, and connect pipes (copper or PVC); complete high- and low-voltage wiring to specification.
• Mentor and train Install Helpers on-site and in the shop to elevate their skills.
• Deliver clear, friendly communication and exceptional service to homeowners.
• Handle physical tasks—lifting, bending, and moving items over 50 pounds—safely and efficiently.
• Keep tools, parts, and vehicle in clean, organized condition.
• Work at heights and in tight spaces (including attics) under various weather conditions, from extreme heat to cold.
• Ensure adherence to appliance standards, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and all company service standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

What You Bring

• 1+ year of hands-on HVAC experience in residential settings.
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Current EPA certification.
• Advanced troubleshooting ability and strong critical-thinking skills.
• Proactive, enthusiastic approach with an unwavering commitment to quality.
• Customer-first mindset and professional communication at all organizational levels.
• Flexibility and collaboration in dynamic, fast-moving environments.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Lifting 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Climbing ladders; accessing attics; navigating tight spaces and crawlspaces.
• Pushing, carrying, pulling; using hand tools; performing fine-detail work.
• Ability to drive.
• Standing, walking, sitting; talking or hearing in person and by telephone.
• Using hands to handle or feel objects or controls; reaching with hands and arms.
• Regular stooping, kneeling, bending, and crouching.
• Frequent exposure to extreme indoor/outdoor temperatures and adverse weather (wind, rain, ice, snow).
