About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years License: Current and valid nursing license Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:5, flex to 1:6 on rare occasions. - Willingness to float between departments as needed. - Experience in Telemetry and Cardiac Monitoring. Description: As a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care. You will monitor and assess patients with various medical diagnoses related to pulmonary, wounds, cardiac, neurological, and renal issues. You must be comfortable with IV therapy, blood product administration, and central line management. Experience interpreting dysrhythmias and managing telemetry is required. You will also manage patients with respiratory needs including oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway management. The role includes wound care and following infection control protocols. You will be required to manage feeding tubes and recognize renal failure in patients. Additionally, you will care for patients with orthopedic needs and surgical drains. Working weekends and holiday shifts may be required.
