Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care for obstetric patients and assigned groups of patients in alignment with the nursing process and established standards of care.
- Monitor labor progress, assess maternal and fetal status, administer medications as ordered, and document care accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, discharge planning, and patient education.
- Supervise and direct assigned nursing staff on the unit, delegating tasks within scope of practice and ensuring patient safety.
- Apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making to prioritize care and respond to evolving clinical needs.
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation and adherence to unit policies; clock in to the unit when assigned to Float Pool duties as applicable.

Requirements
- Active RN license to practice in California
- Current BLS certification; ACLS certification preferred
- 1+ year of recent Labor & Delivery or perinatal nursing experience preferred
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN licensure
- Ability to work the stated shift (nights, 3x12-hour shifts) in a hospital setting; strong communication and critical-thinking skills
