Job Summary The Commercial Install Helper is responsible for supporting the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across commercial and private properties. This role plays a critical part in daily field operations by ensuring systems are installed correctly, maintained proactively, and serviced in compliance with company standards and industry regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, customer-minded, and capable of working collaboratively with technicians, supervisors, and clients. Key Responsibilities * Review daily work orders and job stubs to determine scope and priorities for the day. * Follow instructions related to the collection, preparation, and use of tools, materials, and equipment. * Ensure tools, equipment, and materials required for HVAC projects are operational and properly maintained. * Assist HVAC technicians with installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. * Inspect installed HVAC systems to verify proper operation and performance. * Identify, document, and report system issues including leaks, malfunctions, and performance concerns. * Perform routine and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems. * Assist in identifying maintenance risks and recommending corrective actions. * Support diagnosis of electrical and mechanical faults within HVAC systems. * Ensure systems remain compliant with company standards, safety protocols, and applicable codes. * Maintain cleanliness and preventative care of tools and equipment used for installation and maintenance. * Measure, prepare, and stage materials required for HVAC installations. * Assist with installation, modification, and maintenance of ductwork and ducting systems. * Coordinate proper delivery, setup, and removal of equipment at client sites. * Create and maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities. * Enforce safety practices before, during, and after all work activities. * Educate clients on the proper use, care, and maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration systems. * Implement practices to protect client property and maintain a professional jobsite environment. Required Qualifications * Valid driver's license with a clean driving record in compliance with company requirements. * Working knowledge of HVAC systems and commercial air duct structures. * Commitment to staying current with industry standards, tools, and best practices. * Strong customer service skills with the ability to follow through on commitments. * Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with team members and customers. * Clear verbal and written communication skills. * Strong organizational and time-management capabilities. * Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. * Physically capable of performing job duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly. * Ability to safely use power tools, climb ladders, and work in varied environments.
