DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (OPWDD)

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide care, supervision, and support to individuals with developmental disabilities and/or traumatic brain injuries. The DSP helps individuals achieve greater independence, participate in community activities, and maintain their health, safety, and well-being. Key Responsibilities Assist individuals with daily living activities, personal care, and life skills development. Administer medications in accordance with regulations and agency procedures (AMAP certification required). Transport individuals to medical appointments, programs, recreational activities, and community outings. Maintain accurate and timely documentation. Ensure individuals participate in meaningful daily activities. Provide supervision and support in accordance with individualized care plans. Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment. Attend required trainings, staff meetings, and maintain required certifications. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Valid NYS Driver's License Required. Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or traumatic brain injuries preferred. Ability to obtain and maintain SCIP-R and AMAP certifications.
