Travel Physical Therapist (PT)

Job Overview Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist for a 13‑week travel assignment in New Braunfels, Texas. The role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life in hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers. Key Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement treatment plans using various techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration. Assess progress, adjust plans, and document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other professionals to coordinate care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and injury prevention. Maintain a safe environment with infection control and safety protocols. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities. Assist in discharge planning for transitions to community or home settings. Perform other duties as required within scope of practice. Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Doctorate degree in physical therapy (preferred). Experience in physical therapy (new graduates welcomed). Additional certifications or licenses may be required. Required Skills Physical Abilities: Able to remain stationary, move about, move equipment (50-100 lbs), push, pull, bend. Interpersonal Skills: Works effectively with diverse personnel, positive attitude, professionalism. Technical/Motor Skills: Grasp and manipulate equipment, assist with procedures. Mental Requirements: Handles frequent public contact, meets deadlines under pressure, works under supervision and independently, manages irregular schedules.
