Machine Operator

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating production equipment under immediate supervision, ensuring all processes are completed in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.

Operate manual production machinery, including wood molder and foam press machines (training provided for sheet metal machine)

Read and interpret job orders, diagrams, and blueprints to select, position, and secure machinery and materials

Load, unload, lift, and move materials/products using lifting equipment when available

Complete and maintain all electronic paperwork: barcoding, checklists, stamping, blueprints, shipping/receiving documents, accessory lists, and scanning of materials

Perform pre-shift preventative maintenance on assigned equipment

Maintain housekeeping and follow 5S standards in the department

Stand and walk on concrete up to 100% of the workday

Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and balance as needed

Lift and carry up to 50 lbs alone, and over 50 lbs with assistance

Use hands to reach, handle, or feel; strong manual dexterity for tool usage

Perform visual inspection of products

Work in a non-temperature-controlled environment

Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE)

GED or High School Diploma preferred

Less than one year of experience in construction or manufacturing required

Basic ability to read and interpret blueprints

Basic math and reading comprehension skills

Ability to read a tape measure

Ability to read, speak, and understand English

Proven ability to operate machinery safely and effectively
