Education:

• High School transcript or equivalent.

Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.:


Minimum of two years working in food service. Applicant must have excellent organizational and computer skills, as well as the ability to supervise multiple employees. Must have knowledge of HACCP principles, commodity records and food production. Must be Serv-Save certified or be willing to study and pass the certification test.


Valid Food Handlers Certificate

• Food Handler's permit required at the time application is filed. Permits may be obtained at City Hall, 212 SW 9th Street.

Specific Training/Skills:


Job skills are required to perform tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions.


Physical Requirements:


Exposure to the following situations may range from remote to frequent based on circumstances and factors that may not be predictable.

• Hands to be washed frequently and correctly
• Fingernails are well trimmed and clean.
• No nail polish or artificial fingernails, no jewelry worn on body
• Employees must report all illness to the on-site manager upon arrival each day.
• Cuts, abrasions and burns on hands and exposed arms must be bandaged.
• Hair restraints must be worn at all time, disposable glove to be worn at all times.
• Non-slip closed toe shoes, clothing and apron clean when reporting to work
• All incidents and accidents must be reported immediately to the on-site manager.
• You must able to lift at least 50 pounds.
