Janesville, WI | ️ 13 Weeks | Med-Surg RN – Nights

Seeking an experienced Med-Surg Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment on a primarily Adult Surgical Unit with limited pediatric patients. This opportunity is ideal for an RN who is comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care setting and floating to other units as needed.

Schedule:
• Night Shift – 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Three 12-hour shifts per week
• 36 guaranteed hours
• Every other weekend and holiday required

Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge needs
• Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and shared governance activities
• Float to other units as needed to support patient care

Requirements:
• Active Wisconsin RN License
• Current BLS Certification
• Current NIHSS Certification
• Strong Med-Surg and Adult Surgical nursing experience
• Excellent assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills

Additional Details:
• Adult Surgical Unit with limited Pediatric patients
• Floating required based on staffing needs
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• No on-call required
