Department Details

Combined ED and Urgent Care. 12 Beds ED and 12 Beds Urgent Care. Urgent Care open 7 days a week / 365. Level 4 Trauma Center. Top in system for Patient Experience. Great team comprised of RNs, Paramedic, HUC/ Patient Care Tech, ED MD, and APCs. 12-hour shifts. Minimum requirements are (2) shifts worked in 6-week schedule. Shift options to choose from: 7:00 - 19:00, 7:30 - 19:30, 8:00 - 20:00, 10:00 - 22:00, and 19:00 07:00.

Responsibilities

• Plans and coordinates patient care, assessment, education, triage and various other nursing interventions
• Collaborates with colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement and evaluate care
• Empathetically cares for patients during all stages of preventive services, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up along the continuum of care
• Demonstrates competency and uses comprehensive nursing expertise

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited nursing program required, including, but not limited to, American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred. Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
