Northwell is New York State's largest private employer with over 104,000 employees — including members of Northwell Health Physician Partners — who are working to change health care for the better.Summary: Performs high-quality diagnostic and accurate MRI procedures to help physicians in the care of their patients.Responsibilities:Provides optimum patient care.Demonstrates knowledge and technical expertise to safely & correctly operate MRI equipment.Performs and records # for daily QA.Develops skills to practice in a safe, clinical environment.Develops skills in Contrast Administration.Demonstrates self-direction and utilizes problem solving techniques.Cross trained in another modality.Maintains technical competency in the following less frequent order procedure (2 or more years experience).Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.Performs other duties as assigned.Education & Certifications Required:High School Diploma or equivalentARRT/RadiographerMinimum Experience: one yearDesired: 3 years experience in MRI; background in ultrasound or CT scan.Working Conditions:Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterityOccupational: Significant occupational riskPhysical Effort: Very Heavy effort.
