Utility Locator

Adecco is now hiring a Utility Locator to work at a trash disposal company in the Burbank area. This is a temporary assignment.

Responsibilities:

• Identifies, tracks, and marks underground infrastructures such as gas, water, electric, and telecommunication lines—before excavation or construction to prevent damage and service disruption

• Review blueprints, maps, as-built drawings, and digital tickets on a laptop to plan daily routes and identify buried

• Use specialized electronic equipment, including electromagnetic locators, ground-penetrating radar (GPR), and magnetic devices, to detect subterranean cables and pipes from the ground surface

• Spray paint and place color-coded flags on the ground to show the precise path and depth of underground utilities

• Record findings, complete electronic tickets, sketch diagrams, and submit daily reports using mobile apps or mapping software

• Coordinate with contractors, project managers, and homeowners, while enforcing local safety regulations and responding to urgent or emergency locate requests

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED

• 1-2 years of previous similar experience.

• Experience working in an outdoor environment.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Must be able to wear steel-toe boots

• Have a valid Driver’s License and must not have any moving violations to the criteria listed below:

• No more than one moving violation in the past three years

• No violations for Driving Under the Influence (DUI), or Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), or Reckless Driving in the past (5) five years.

• No Suspensions in the past (5) five years.

Shifts Available:

Shifts are available from Monday – Friday, 5:30 am – 3:00 pm, 9/80 schedule

Pay Details: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour
