Job Summary The Flooring Solutions Technician 3 positions officer with Sunbelt Rentals to provide exemplary service to customers. The role coordinates with leadership, performs preventive maintenance, repairs equipment, and ensures safe operation of all rental machinery. Position Responsibilities Perform all levels of repair and maintenance on equipment. Dismantle and reassemble or rebuild equipment as needed. Fabricate parts to meet shop and customer needs. Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical equipment problems. Track rental equipment inventory and coordinate deliveries, pick‑ups, and service calls with customers. Maintain warehouse area – clean, repair, order, and install parts ensuring standards are met. Source and manage inventory of parts and supplies. Complete and maintain equipment service records, including damage repair, preventive maintenance, and warranty processing. Replace decals, clean, and detail equipment. Operate company vehicle safely, keep a valid driver’s license and excellent driving record free from points. Maintain company vehicles – wash, oil changes, general safety inspection and report any defects. Track company tools and supplies and report broken tools for replacement. Oversee and maintain wash bay area, ensuring proper maintenance and a safe, clean work environment. Communicate professionally with customers, managers, and employees to schedule deliveries, pick‑ups, and service calls. Complete appropriate paperwork for deliveries, pick‑ups, and service calls and direct customers to sign required documents. Deliver and install rented equipment, train authorized operators on safe use. Implement and execute safe procedures and work with managers, Equipment Rental Specialists, and Sales Engineers to maintain accurate records of in‑stock and rented equipment. Provide on‑call emergency service response on a rotating schedule during weekends and evenings. Clean and test returned equipment ensuring operation and appearance meet standards. Understand operation, function, specifications, capabilities, and controls of rental equipment and advanced electrical motors and controls. Perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements 5+years of mechanic experience with IC engines, propane, electrical, and hydraulic systems. High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training desired. Must provide mechanic’s tools of trade. Excellent troubleshooting skills. Ability to prioritize work assignments. Ability to work independently and be flexible with changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. High degree of safety awareness and working knowledge of equipment design and safety requirements. Prior floor care equipment experience strongly preferred. First shift position with overtime availability. Base Pay Range: $24.05–33.06 per hour.
