Public Safety Sales Representative

North American Rescue, LLC

Summary The Public Safety Sales Representative is responsible for sales to the Fire/EMS market and product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle of designated products. This includes gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, working closely with the product development, operations, sales, and marketing teams, and providing technical support to meet revenue and customer satisfaction goals. The Public Safety Sales Representative is a self-directed subject matter expert with specific knowledge in U.S. emergency medical, law enforcement, and tactical medical devices. The Public Safety Sales Representative will deliver professional, consistent, and customer-oriented service and will maintain favorable customer relationships with key decision-makers and distributors in workplace safety. The Public Safety Sales Representative is responsible for soliciting and maintaining favorable contacts and closing sales negotiations with appropriate customers and agencies. Essential Responsibilities This is not an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities. Projects/duties may be modified/changed/added/deleted as needed. Develop and implement comprehensive sales plans and programs to target potential customers in coordination with distributors as appropriate Develop portfolio plans to maximize revenue and customer base in critical product lines. Discover, understand, and communicate customer and market dynamics to enable management understanding of customer/ user needs. Develop business case and portfolio plans for the next generation of current and new products. Identify issues from the field and develop sources of competitive intelligence to facilitate sales and product development. Responsible for tactical implementation of key market research programs, including voice of customer analysis, market share measurements, and SWOT analysis. Develop materials to present the value proposition for domestic and international individual markets. Develop and cultivate professional relationships with key product suppliers to enhance product promotion. Develops and wins Workplace Safety business. Responsible for customer relationship management (CRM) with designated contacts, to include but not limited to – US law enforcement operators, SWAT, EMS, combat medics, special operations medics, paramedics, physicians, other healthcare providers, and first responders. Establishes strategic sales goals to meet NAR objectives and increase market share and profitability of NAR products to customers. Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors of targeted markets and capitalizes on opportunities to maximize the sales of NAR products. Evaluate targeted market research and adjust sales strategy to meet changing market demands. Conducts visits to customers to establish relationships, identify needs and requirements, and advise NAR management of recommended product changes or opportunities for new product developments. Is the program lead at trade shows and other promotional events within the Fire and EMS marketplace. Supplemental Responsibilities Completes any tasks and/or projects assigned by the supervisor. Authority No direct reports. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. Will also consider Business, Life Science or similar degree. Certification as a Nationally Registered Paramedic desired, with additional certification as a Firefighter II, TP-C, CCEMTP highly desired. Current relevant work experience as a NREMTP is required with current critical care work experience is highly desired. Actively listens and displays patience. Possesses strong attention to detail. Identifies and resolves problems and manages multiple priorities. Works with limited direction and supervision. Builds and maintains effective working relationships. Adapts readily to changing direction, focus, and priorities. Demonstrates solid computer knowledge, including MS Office products. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to hear and talk. The employee is frequently required to use their hands for keyboard usage and is frequently required to sit, stand, and walk. The employee must occasionally reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Time and Availability Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours each week from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. or some variation thereof. Occasional evening and weekend and holiday work will be required as job duties demand. Travel Able to travel up to 70%.
