Data Science Manager

Leading a small, high-output team, the remote Data Science Manager will manage end-to-end delivery of data science projects, oversee the design and maintenance of data pipelines, and provide mentorship while collaborating with stakeholders to align data initiatives with business goals. Key responsibilities Own the delivery of high-impact data science projects from initial business requests to production-ready systems Directly manage and mentor a team of 2-4 data scientists, establishing team norms and performance expectations Translate ambiguous business problems into well-defined analytical and modeling work, ensuring alignment with product context Required qualifications Master's degree in a quantitative field or bachelor's degree with significant professional experience 6+ years of experience in data science, data engineering, or a closely related technical discipline 1+ year of direct people management or formal technical lead experience Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python, with a focus on production code Hands-on experience with machine learning, including model training, evaluation, and deployment
