Lead Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Location: Pembroke Pines, Florida

Responsibilities:

Follows established procedures for laboratory quality control, ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, compliance activities, and policies and procedures. Provides input in the evaluation of team members performance. Assists with ongoing compliance and regulatory requirements. May assess competency of team members. Reports test results in a timely manner according to established laboratory protocols. May serve as lead of a laboratory section. Effectively manages resources such as productivity, supplies, instruments and equipment. Plans work and completes job responsibilities in an efficient and productive manner. Assists with coordinating services, prioritizing assignments and workflow, and promoting situational decision making/problem solving. Trains, instructs and observes student technologists and new or current employees. Performs accurate and appropriate testing of specimens received in the laboratory, according to established laboratory protocol and procedures. May serve as Laboratory Safety and/or Quality Officer.
